Your eyebrow embroidery Singapore appointment is a 90-minute procedure. Your aftercare is a 30-day commitment. Singapore's climate, sweat, sun and skincare make this the hardest aftercare environment in Southeast Asia — but if you follow the protocol below precisely, your brows will heal cleanly and hold pigment for the full 1–3 year window.

This is the day-by-day playbook every Serenity Beaute client receives. Print it, screenshot it, save it. The first 30 days decide how good your brows look for the next 2 years.

The day-by-day timeline

Days 1–3: keep brows bone dry

The fresh embroidery wound is at maximum infection risk in the first 72 hours. Singapore-specific rules:

  • No water on brows. Yes, this includes showering with your face tilted back. Use a wet cotton pad soaked in sterile saline to clean around (not over) the brows.
  • Apply the ointment we give you. Twice daily, thin layer. Q-tip application — never fingertips.
  • No makeup, no skincare, no SPF on or near the brows. The rest of your face is fine.
  • No sweating. Skip the gym, yoga, runs. Sweat carries bacteria into the open wound and bleaches pigment.
  • Sleep on your back. A clean pillowcase, changed daily. No face-down sleeping for 14 days.
  • No alcohol for 48 hours — it thins blood and pushes pigment out.

Days 4–7: light scabbing begins

Your brows will form a thin scab layer that looks darker than the final result. This is the most psychologically difficult week. Resist:

  • Do NOT pick scabs. Picking pulls pigment out with the scab, leaves patches that need a full re-do.
  • Do NOT scratch. Itching is normal. Press with a Q-tip, never nails or fingertips.
  • Continue ointment. Twice daily. If you notice the brow looks “greasy”, reduce to once a day — too much ointment can lift scabs prematurely.
  • Still no swimming, sauna, hot yoga, or intense exercise. Light walking is fine.

Days 8–14: the ghosting phase

This is the second psychologically difficult week. After the scabs flake off, pigment fades by 30–40% and your brows may look patchy or unevenly faded. This is normal. Pigment is sitting deep in the dermis and is temporarily obscured by healing skin.

  • Do NOT panic and rebook for a touch-up. Your colour will return by day 21.
  • You can now cleanse normally around the brows. Gentle, oil-free face wash. No exfoliants.
  • Still no makeup on brows.
  • SPF on rest of face, not yet on brows.
  • Resume gentle exercise. Wipe sweat from brow area immediately after.

Days 15–30: true colour returns

Pigment darkens back to its final settled colour. Brows look even and crisp.

  • Resume full skincare — except retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C anywhere within 1cm of the brow. These accelerate fade.
  • SPF 30+ on brows daily. Singapore sun is the single biggest enemy of pigment longevity. Reapply every 2 hours when outdoors.
  • Avoid direct sun on healed brows for another 2 weeks where possible. Wear a cap.
  • You can wear brow makeup again — but most clients find they don't need to.

Weeks 4–6: complimentary touch-up

Return to your artist for the complimentary 4–6 week touch-up. We assess healed retention, perfect any patchy areas, and lock in the final shape and colour. This appointment is built into your initial price — do not skip it. Skipping the touch-up is the #1 reason embroidery looks uneven 6 months later.

Singapore-specific aftercare risks

Tropical humidity & sweat

Sweat lifts scabs prematurely and dilutes settling pigment. For the first 14 days, treat any forehead sweat as urgent — dab immediately with a clean tissue. No headbands (they trap sweat). No motorcycle helmets if you can avoid them.

Singapore sun

UV breaks down pigment more aggressively here than in cooler climates. After week 4, SPF on brows is non-negotiable. Stainable mineral SPFs (zinc oxide) work better than chemical SPFs for pigment preservation.

Year-round acid skincare

Singapore clients are heavy users of vitamin C, AHAs, BHAs, retinoids — perfect for skin, terrible for embroidered brows. For the first 30 days, keep all actives at least 1cm away from the brow. After that, occasional use is fine — but expect a 30% reduction in longevity if you're a daily retinol user.

Air-conditioning

Dry indoor air dehydrates healing skin and causes scabs to crack. Run a humidifier near your bed for the first 14 days if your bedroom AC runs all night.

Warning signs — call us immediately

Aftercare emergencies are rare but real. Contact us via WhatsApp if you notice:

  • Spreading redness beyond the brow line at any point after day 3
  • Yellow or green discharge (not the normal clear lymph)
  • Fever or swollen glands near the eye
  • Sharp pain after day 4 (mild tenderness is normal)
  • An allergic reaction (itchy raised bumps near the brow)

How long should the result last?

With this protocol followed honestly:

Refresh touch-ups at 12–18 months keep colour vivid. We charge 50–60% of trial price for these.
